For Japanese tea ceremony,"Dogu"[equipment] is inseparable. This tea bowl is titled "Wakakusa"[a young bud]. I donated this to Powell street festival fund raising. They say that "Sado"(tea ceremony) epitomize Japanese world view or aesthetic in another word, Japanese culture. Wabi Sabi is a key word to understand it. I feel It runs inside of me. Making anything to do with the ceremony brace myself up everytime I sit in front of my potter's wheel.
